I have seen many missions undermined by the lack of business foundation. Before hearing about Goodwork, I had already decided to go all in with my project without that solid foundation. But now I feel it’s not only possible to get my project into the world, I actually feel there is no way it can’t be everything I hope for and more. The idea of Goodwork restores my faith in the non-profit model, and also my faith in humanity!”

BigFish was started with the best of intentions. It was developed from a great idea to provide a great need in our community. We had a solid start. What a gift to Greater Seacoast nonprofits GoodWork is! These organizations support our families and communities in critical ways and now we have crucial support in doing this hard work. I have quite shamelessly taken advantage of every opportunity to utilize all that GoodWork has to offer.
As the executive director of a mature nonprofit, I offer my experience to a budding organization through the mentor program. This opportunity in turn has given me a welcome shot in the arm, re-energizing me for my own work.
The beautiful and tranquil setting of Carey Cottage offered a necessary respite from the daily grind when my team needed some time and space to tackle big issues free from distractions.
Molly is a masterful coach who brings not only abundant experience and knowledge of the sector but compassion and humor to every interaction. Each conversation leaves me with just the insight or resource I need at that moment.
Our meeting was the first time we have met in person as a group and Carey Cottage was the perfect setting to connect with one another professionally while also feeling like we were getting in some self care due to the beautiful surroundings.
Our recent team-building workshop at Carey Cottage was fun, productive, and renewing. The setting was just perfect to get out of our normal routine and think creatively, share ideas, and make plans to enhance our day-to-day processes. We ended the day out on the porch for social hour with a full moon rising on the river, so beautiful! We will definitely return to Carey Cottage as a place to restore our commitment to each other and to being the best we can be — highly recommend!
